The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) invites you to attend a Business Briefing with a delegation of senior executives of XM Compañía de Expertos en Mercados S.A. E.S.P. (XM) as well as representatives from the Superintendent of Public Services (SSPD) and a Commercial Specialist from the U.S. Commercial Service in Colombia, on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at USTDA’s Headquarters in Arlington, VA. A smaller, half-day business roundtable will take place in San Bruno, CA on March 25, 2014.

Why Should U.S. Businesses Participate?

XM is pursuing the implementation of a market management system (MMS) to improve the reliability of the country’s National Interconnected System and optimize investment, as well as support the development of energy-efficiency measures and renewable energy projects in the country. With this goal, XM plans to release a request for proposals (RFP) by the end of 2014 for the purchase of the MMS and other supporting IT services. The business briefing will provide an opportunity for U.S. companies to learn more about XM’s upcoming RFP and to ask key questions about the needs and requirements of the Colombian market and XM specifically.

The Roundtable will include:

  • Information regarding XM’s upcoming procurement process.
  • Presentations by the delegates giving an overview of the specific needs for MMS implementation.
